Rachelle Sweet
Rachelle is a 2009 Eastern Michigan University graduate. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and is currently working towards her Master's degree in Business Administration. She is a nationally certified personal fitness trainer and group exercise instructor. She is employed by ProMedica at The Fitness Connection in Tecumseh, Michigan, where she works as the Healthy Lifestyles Instructor & Manager. She also works as the Office Manager for ProMedica Physicians.
As an adolescent, she too struggled with her weight and was subjected to regular bullying. Finding exercise and nutrition drastically changed her life and allowed her to lose 30 pounds in a healthy way. Her unhealthy past is what spurred her passion for and involvement with youth fitness. As a two time local title holder in the Miss America Organization (Miss Washtenaw County 2009 and Miss Shoreline 2011), she has worked diligently to bring light to the issue of childhood obesity at a local and state level. The Miss Michigan Organization has served as wonderful platform for spreading her message of health and touching the lives of youth throughout the state.
